An Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court has ordered a man, Mr. Olapade Omotoso, to be remanded in prison, after a woman he was allegedly having illicit affairs with died during a sexual romp with him in an hotel in Ikere-Ekiti.
The 50-year-old lover, Mrs. Feyisayo Ologunki, was said to be an asthma patient. Mrs. Ologunki reportedly owned a beer palour where Omotoso regularly frequented to have a drink after working hours. Mr. Omotoso, 48, a driver and the woman were said to have on June 24, at about 8:20p.m checked into a Guest House on Araromi Street in Ikere Ekiti to have fun.
But, the fun later turned awry, as the woman reportedly began to gasp for breath and later died under the man. The lover was thereafter arrested and charged to court.
Chief Magistrate, C.O Adegoke ordered the accused to be remanded in prison custody pending the Director of Public Prosecution's advice on the matter. He consequently adjourned the case till August 18, in granting the plea of the prosecutor, Corporal Ewuola Ebenezer, who said he was expecting the Director of Public Prosecution's legal advice.
